Dr. Peter Forgach has also proudly served as a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy and Chief of the Retina Service at the Oakland Naval Hospital in Oakland, California.

Community Involvement & Interests

Though he was born in Hungary, Dr. Forgach is a proud son of Buffalo and a graduate of Calasanctius High School. His Hungarian roots and his love of Buffalo have consequently shaped much of his involvement in the community. He is an Honorary Consul of Hungary to the United States.

Dr. Forgach is especially proud of his work helping Hungarian students obtain scholarships to study in the United States during the 1990s. Those students were so successful that over the years, Dr. Forgach has since helped over 150 Hungarian and Eastern European students receive postgraduate education and experience in the United States by way the Stephen Gerencser Calasanctius Fund that he founded with his.
